WALOS RELEASED UNDER EPTL 1.0 (ETHICS TECHNOLOGIES PUBLIC LICENSE) VERSION 1.0, 2009, MARCH.

Please read this License carefully before downloading/using this software. By downloading or using this software, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this License. If you do not or cannot agree to the terms of this License, please do not download or use the software.

1. General; Definitions. This License applies to any program or other work which ETHICS TECHNOLOGIES makes publicly available and which contains a notice placed by ETHICS TECHNOLOGIES identifying such program or work as "Original Code" and stating that it is subject to the terms of this ETHICS TECHNOLOGIES Public License version 1.0 ("EPTL"). As used in this License:

WALOS [Pronunciation: : "wall os"].The name WALOS is copyrighted by ETHICS TECHNOLOGIES.

"Original Code" means (a) the Source Code of a program or other work as originally made available by ETHICS TECHNOLOGIES under this License, including the Source Code of any updates or upgrades to such programs or works made available by ETHICS TECHNOLOGIES under this License, and that has been expressly identified by ETHICS TECHNOLOGIES as such in the header file(s) of such work; and (b) the object code compiled from such Source Code and originally made available by ETHICS TECHNOLOGIES under this License.

"Source Code" means the human readable form of a program or other work that is suitable for making modifications to it, including all modules it contains, plus any associated interface definition files, scripts used to control compilation and installation of an executable (object code).

"You" or "Your" means an individual or a legal entity exercising rights under this License. For legal entities, "You" or "Your" includes any entity which controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with, You, where "control" means (a) the power, direct or indirect, to cause the direction or management of such entity, whether by contract or otherwise, or (b) ownership of fifty percent (50%) or more of the outstanding shares or beneficial ownership of such entity.

"Modifications"/ "modified" mean any addition to, deletion from, and/or change to, the substance and/or structure of the Original Code, any previous Modifications, the combination of Original Code and any previous Modifications, and/or any respective portions thereof. When code is released as a series of files, a Modification is: (a) any addition to or deletion from the contents of a file containing Covered Code; and/or (b) any new file or other representation of computer program statements that contains any part of Covered Code.

2. THE SOFTWARE. WALOS (the "Software") is a modular Linux operating system consisting of hundreds of software components. The end user license agreement for each component is located in the component's source code. the license terms for the components permit User to VIEW THE SOURCE CODE, LEARN THE CODE and MODIFY THE CODE. With the potential exception of certain firmware files (denoted in the License field of the RPM packaging), the license terms for the components permit User to copy, modify and redistribute the component, in both source code and binary code forms. This agreement does not limit User's rights under, or grant User rights that supersede, the license terms of any particular component.

3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS. The Software and each of its components, including the source code, documentation, appearance, structure and organization are copyrighted by Ethics Technologies and others and are protected under copyright and other laws. Title to the Software and any component, or to any copy, modification, or merged portion shall remain with the aforementioned, subject to the applicable license. USERS are not allowed to redistribute WALOS modified or unmodified source code. WALOS is the trade mark of Ethics Technologies.

4. LIMITED WARRANTY. Except as specifically stated in this agreement or a license for a particular component, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, THE SOFTWARE AND THE COMPONENTS ARE PROVIDED AND LICENSED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Neither the WALOS nor ETHICS TECHNOLOGIES warrants that the functions contained in the Software will meet User's requirements or that the operation of the Software will be entirely error free or appear precisely as described in the accompanying documentation. USE OF THE SOFTWARE IS AT USER'S OWN RISK.

5. LIMITATION OF REMEDIES AND LIABILITY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WALOS AND ETHICS TECHNOLOGIES WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO USER FOR ANY DAMAGES, INCLUDING INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS OR LOST SAVINGS ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF WALOS OR ETHICS TECHNOLOGIES HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

6. WALOS is released under the ETPL 1.0 license. You are fully allowed to get the following freedoms from your vendor by the license ETPL 1.0.

7.You are allowed to::
[*] View the source code of the WALOS
[*] Learn the concept behind of the WALOS.
[*] Modify the source code
[*] Get the support from any vendors for this software.
[*] WALOS is developed from other open source softwares like GNU/Linux and others. You are allowed to follow the other software licenses also. The other softwares are still licensed under their native licenses.
The ETPL is suitable only for the rest of the work other than the derived open source softwares for WALOS.

8.You have the following restrictions in ETPL 1.0 ::
[*] You are not allowed to redistribute the WALOS.
[*] You are not allowed to redistribute your modified work from WALOS to any one.
[*] You are not allowed to resell the WALOS software.
[*] You are not allowed to recreate the WALOS softwares in the same name or any other name.
[*] You are not allowed to imitate the name WALOS or the WALOS logo or the default themes used by WALOS.

9. FULL VERSION OF WALOS. YOU can install WALOS with infinite number of times in a PCs within your organization or in your personal PC. YOU should informed to ETHICS TECHNOLOGIES about how many PCs YOU are going to use it before YOU buy this full version of WALOS.

10. SUPPORT. Limited SUPPORT for WALOS. YOU have infinite number of installation license; But limited number of SUPPORT per year. SUPPORT is valid only the first year from the date of purchasing. Once YOUR one year SUPPORT completed, it will not be automatically extended to next year. YOU are responsible to renew the SUPPORT after your initial support has expired.

11. LIMITATIONS OF USAGE. YOU are allowed to install WALOS infinite number of times in a PCs within YOUR organization or YOUR personal PC. But YOU are not allowed to distribute/handover YOUR FULL VERSION OF WALOS to outside of YOUR ORGANIZATIONS/SUBORGANIZATIONS/YOUR BRANCH ORGANIZATIONS/ or to second/another person, personally or officially.

12. CLAIMS. YOU are accepted all the terms and conditions of this license. This license ensures that, YOU are fully co-operated with the section 11. Unless otherwise, ETHICS TECHNOLOGIES found & confirmed YOUR copies of FULL VERSION OF WALOS found in outside of YOUR ORGANIZATIONS/SUBORGANIZATIONS/YOUR BRANCH ORGANIZATIONS/ or to second/another person, YOU are responsible to pay 10 times of the FULL VERSION OF WALOS MONEY (in US DOLLORS) to ETHICS TECHNOLOGIES without any controversy.
